Departure of managing director Cor van der Wel

After more than eight years as Managing Director, Cor van der Wel is leaving Werkse! During his time as Managing Director, he has meant a lot to our organisation; we are very grateful to him for that. The exact date of his departure is not yet known, but we expect to say goodbye around the end of this year.

Cor still enjoys working at Werkse!, but he is ready for a new challenge. He says: ‘I go to work at Werkse! every day with great pleasure and energy, but I want to try to make an impact in another place. And where possible make the world in that place a little more fun and beautiful.’ With this, he also wants to give someone else the opportunity to develop Werkse! even further.

In cooperation with the shareholder, the MT and the works council, the Supervisory Board (SB) will start the recruitment process for a new director in the coming period. Laetitia Smits, chairman of the Supervisory Board: ‘It is with great pleasure that we thank Cor for his creative, positive and energetic efforts at Werkse!, with which he created and filled many opportunities for both employees and business and municipal relations: ‘Fun every day’!

Cor says goodbye with a smile and a tear. He says: ‘I report this with a heavy heart. Werkse! is truly a unique organisation and consists of an incredibly beautiful, diverse group of people. We make an impact every day and we are seen as one of the leading organisations in our sector. We have had the pleasure of building on that together over the past few years.’

We will of course miss Cor a lot, but we are confident that he will find a nice challenge and wish him the best of luck and success!
