Catering

Werkse! has a professional catering team.  Preparing meals, buying in provisions, making coffee like a true barista and serving drinks: our workers do it all.  They follow a learning pathway that gives them a solid grounding in all the tricks of the trade. Learning to cut and prepare food according to the HACCP guidelines, operating the payment terminal, they’re all aspects that are dealt with. They apply their skills in practice in the Werkse! canteen or at companies where our workers ultimately go to work.

What do the workers learn?

• Everything to do with coffee and tea (barista training)
• Cutting, cooking and plating of meals

The Werkse! workers have good taste! They learn their trade under the watchful eye of experienced, professional chefs. Apart from the specific training courses, we devote plenty attention to personal skills. These include collaboration, communication and dealing with stress.

The catering team provides all catering and hospitality at the Werkse! sites. We also provide (small-scale) catering at external sites in Delft and the surrounding area. There is a lot more possible, too. For  instance, a (temporary) Werkse! worker who serves lunch at your office or a worker who we train to ultimately form part of an existing hospitality/catering team.

Outsourcing catering work to Werkse! is an expression of corporate social responsibility. Not everyone is able to find work on their own. Werkse!, as a certified job-training company, can help. Workers learn ‘on the job’ and are challenged to take a further step in their personal development. In this way, together with our clients, we contribute to a more socially-responsible world.
