Integration with the Z-route
The independence route (zelfredzaamheidsroute or Z-route) is a learning pathway that prepares you for your future in the Netherlands. Will you be following the integration course in the Municipality of Delft? And will you be following the Z-route? Then you will be learning the Dutch language at your own level.
What is a learning pathway?
A learning pathway is an integration plan. The plan specifies the lessons that you will be following to learn Dutch, for example. The plan also states which activities you will be doing to work on your personal development. The municipality’s personal integration and participation plan (PIP) specifies which learning pathway you will be following. The municipality pays for the route and Werkse! will supervise you.
Personal development and language learning
You will follow 800 hours of Dutch language lessons at Taalschool Rijswijk, in Delft. You must attend school. You must also do 800 ‘participation hours’. These are hours in which you follow training courses and build up work experience. You will follow themed sessions, the Financial Independence (Financiële Zelfredzaamheid) training course, the Civic Participation Declaration Procedure (PVT) and the Labour Market and Participation module (MAP). You gain work experience at Werkse!. At the Startpunt you learn what a normal working day in the Netherlands looks like. Then you go to gain experience in the various departments of Werkse!.
When you finish the integration course
Once you’ve completed 800 hours of lessons plus the 800 participation hours, your integration is complete. You will be given a certificate to show that you have completed the course. For the Z-route you have a maximum of three years to complete this. Your Werkse! consultant will help you during this period.
