Integration with the B1-route

The B1-route is a learning pathway for language and (voluntary) work. Will you be following the integration course in the Municipality of Delft? And will you be following this route? Then you will learn to comprehend, read and write to B1 level.

What is a learning pathway?

A learning pathway is an integration plan. The plan specifies the lessons that you will be following to learn Dutch, for example. The plan also states which activities you will be doing to further your personal development. The municipality’s personal integration and participation plan (PIP) specifies which learning pathway you will be following. The municipality pays for the cost of the route and Werkse! will supervise you.

Personal development and language learning

You will be following Dutch language lessons at the Sagenn language school in The Hague. You must attend school each week to follow all lessons. You will be sitting the exam in 5 elements: reading, writing, speaking, listening and Knowledge of Dutch Society (KNM). In addition to the lessons at Sagenn, you will follow the Financial Independence (Financiële Zelfredzaamheid) training course, the Civic Participation Declaration Procedure (PVT) and the Labour Market and Participation module (MAP). Together with your consultant, you discuss each subsequent step, such as voluntary work, somewhere to practice your language skills or paid employment.

Integration diploma

Once you’ve completed all the training courses and passed the exams, then your integration process is complete and you will receive your integration diploma. For the B1-route, you have a maximum of three years to complete this. Your Werkse! consultant will help you during this period.
